Everybody knows you don't put K-Frame grips on an N-Frame, everyone but Smith & Wesson....

The original 625-2 and -3's came from the factory with Pachmayr Gripper rubber grips.

I was around back then (yup, I am that old) and owned several that I carried on and off duty.

I figured out recently that my 325 PD was twisting and shifting between shots with the currently installed Hogue rubber grips, so I wanted to go back to those originals for better control and I wanted to get a set of vintage Pachmayr's which are vastly different in quality compared to the current offerings.

Long story: short version...... couldn't find old Pachmayr Grippers or new ones to fit a round butt N Frame. After several wasted hours on the internet, I finally decided to check the safe where I have two -3's ..... one new in box and the other nearly so.

Both factory grips are labeled K-Frame round butts! I had never checked the guns I carried years ago, but I have no doubts they came with K-Frame grips too. Whoduh thunk?

Those grips always did need a bit of persuasion to get back on the gun, but they are obviously stretchy enough to work and work well.

Those late 80's K grips from the 625's went right on the 325 PD. Perfect fitment.

Good news..... as eBay has literally dozens of made in America vintage K/RB Pachmayr grippers for sale.
