I believe if the truth was known, the anti gun faction of the Congress is behind this possible executive order violation of the 2A. They have Feinstein as a mouthpiece but she will be 84 years old when her term is up so she is likely done. Obama is certainly done and has nothing to lose. Most of the Congress and probably most of the Senate would like to stay clear of this as much as possible. They know the majority is not in favor of this infringement on our rights and have some fear for their future re-election efforts. If Obama goes the executive order route, they can all mouth a little about it and put it off on him. Keep writing and calling so they know their future's are at stake.
I think and have thought this is exactly right.
First they want him to do the dirty work. He is not going to be up for election and they are. They know what happened to Clintons Congress and they want it done, while keeping them from having to vote on it. It wont happen. Then they can can drum beat it again at the mid term elections and say " The Republicans wouldnt do it. It is their fault. It is Bushs fault. "
All of this I said a month ago at lunch with a buddy of mine.
One of the interviews with one of the Dems came right out and she said she asked Zero "to do as much he could from his office....". Yep. Thats why.
Second, is they really do believe that he has the magic touch and he can make it all come out ok for them. I mean he won big to them. More than that - he raised BIG MONEY. Thats at work here too.
I hope it backfires on them in a big way.
The more they expend on this, the less time they have to work on things like JOBs, the Deficit, the Taxes, the Spending, and all of that. One day the free money will run out. Then they can say " We made you safer. We did it for you, for the children. We wish those Repubs would give you a job."
Oh yeah, I am liking how this may turn out for them later already.
