Went to my local gun store yesterday to buy a 340 M&P for pocket carry. AFTER I paid for it and did the paperwork he says "look at what just came in". Two and a half inch 686-4, pristine and with a Galco pancake holster (no box though). $650 cash out the door. Unfortunately my bank is on the way home....."I need $650 cash please." Back to the shop. Impulse purchase....did I do OK??

It's hard to go wrong with a 686. And the price is fair, especially with the combat stocks. It would have been an even better deal if it were the seven shot version of the -4. Well done.

Yea, ya done good alright.

This is one of those guns I'd really like to have myself. Seems like a couple threads have shown up lately with the 686 snubby. Congrats! Great acquisition!

Mine 686-4 is tuned and gorgeous and bought years ago - okay, it's a + so it's a 7 shot but, still, too close to matter. Fabulous guns. That's why I have a 3" and a 4" as well, but they are later dashes with the IL, which does bug some folks. What I paid for the later two is far more than what I paid for the dash 4 oh so many years ago......

I tried to just show the 2.5" with the rosewood grips, clicked the other gun in error, and I can't delete it. Sorry.

Thanks

Impulse buy but from all the input seems like it was a good impulse. Didn't really need another 686 but it does round out the 357 stable. Thanks for making me feel good about going back for it.....

You did better than good!
In my neighborhood you'd have to add another $100 to make it yours.
I'd have bought that in a heart beat for that price.

That's a beauty.
I paid $500 for my 686-4 snubbie, but that was a few years ago. It didn't come with such nice stocks either.
