Explain Piranha Iridescense

I'm hoping that Bear Bio or some fisheries biologist can tell me why piranhas and pacus shine with such an iridescent quality, in or out of water. They seem almost to sparkle.

Why? What quality in the scales produces this effect?

Powerful magic.

This should serve as a clue as to why some people find you off putting...you just insulted the majority of the people here, which is something you've done directly and indirectly many times.

I think you've perceived some things the way you wanted to instead of how they were meant. But I am well aware that you are one of the members who like to get upset by me. Believe me, it's mutual.

I think that 's about all I can say and not run afoul of The Rules.

I have often shown humor on the board, but it may be too subtle for some to detect.

But the jabs taken at me look very genuine. I'm glad that Death Grip explained that he was being lighthearted. I am simply too obtuse to have detected that, as he posted.

I've had PM's from members who don't post here, lest they be hounded and ridiculed. I had one today from a man who wanted to know what really got Tex-Mex upset. That member thought that my questions were valid and interesting. I guess ot all depends on one's prejudices and preconceptions.
