Just Google "Volquartsen 15-22 extractor"... They make a replacement about 16 bucks... Supposed to be even better than the original...

I am waiting on a guy to stock the volquartsen extractor in the UK, I too have heard that it is supposed to be an improvement on the original. I wonder if it comes with the spring and plunger?

From the pics and advertising I think it's only the extractor... :(

Will Do Keith, i sent an email to Roger from SYSS/Rimfire magic and he emailed me this response,

"Hi Ben,
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you but we have been unusually busy over the past week leading up to Christmas! I'm not complaining though! We don't carry the latest VQ extractor but will be happy to order some with our next order. Unfortunately we received an order from VQ two weeks ago so aren't likely to order again for a while. Keep an eye on our new website which (hopefully will be running next month) and we will post the news when we get some. I appreciate there are a lot of the S&W M&P 15-22 rifles out there so it would appear to be a good idea to have some available in the future and thanks for the hint!
Kind regards,
Roger"

I responded that i know of at least two others who will want one (yourself & Rob1) So just play the waiting game, hopefully he will come through, although i'm sure the $16 will convert into something like £225 + 25p&p. lol.

I honestly wasn't expecting much of a difference at all, but from the first shot it was easy to see the casing was ejecting quite a bit further outward. Love it!!

Looking at the size of the replacement part, anyone want to stick 3 or 4 in an envelope and post em to uk as a set of metal clips ?

I reckon would cost about a buck to ship. :-). Lol

I know I know. But thought as a laugh it would be better than suggesting some one ship a sound mod or slide fire stock. Hahahaha

I'm still waiting for Roger at rim fire magik to call me back about a hogue buttstock from enquirey made last May. He like a lot of other "dealers" this side of the pond are full of Bull when it comes to parts, lots of yes I can but little of here it is!!! Just my experience over the last 18 months with regards to AR type platform parts.

Yeah you know of my struggles, anyways i am going to drop him another email, to see if he remembers, i am also going to try and get Graham at ACP to try and get a few, failing that, a guy at my rifle club has a sister who lives in the states, who owns a trans-dimensional wormhole and she said she would drop one through it for me. ;)

Ben a couple/few would be nice.....

as we all know the $16 in America coming through a dealer will

translate to £16 and then some here in jolly old England:(

Rob1 idea of a few metal clips seems good

I can't help your situation in the UK, but I put one in my M&P MOE 22 and they do make the extraction more positive. If you can hold out, they are worth the wait.

Got mine in todays' mail, going in the bolt in the morning and heading off to the range. Will keep the original for a back up. Been a good week found lots of CCI Mini mags for plinking and Federal bulk for my cowbell and metal spinners.

I installed the Volquartsen extractor - works well. doesn't of course make my shooting any better but I am happy to have a spare (the original) and support those who makes parts for our gun. It does have a sharp corner. I suggest making the installation in a pillow case so one does not lose the spring upon installation. its really easy to make small parts vacuum bait!
