i know some of you here have to be getting "up there" like myself and have a bit of farsightedness. what do you do for eye protection? ever see any bi-focal shooting glasses? i need something i can see to adjust my sights while still having eye protection. i know that wouldn't happen too often but i just thought i'd ask.

What kind of "shooting glasses" did you wear in the Army? Standard shatterproof lenses should be fine.

The mantra of "eye protection" is grossly overstated for a negligible risk.

lol. i didn't need glasses 25 yrs ago.... also, while my eyes are old or getting there, i ain't walking into the range wearing bifocals. i have more pride than that. my eyes were fine until i got lasik a few years back which tends to increase the process of needing reading glasses for close up sight.

EZTarget, I can relate. So far I have been too stuborn to get glasses, but it is getting harder and harder for me to see the sights, let alone the target that I am shooting at...:o I was just visiting a United Airlines tool room last week, and when I asked for safety glasses, they offered me ones with readers! You bet I took them. I guess since they laid off all of their younger workers, they have to accomodate the old guys they have left. Anyways, I didn't know safety glasses came with bifocals on them until last week, but they do help.:)

nice. i liked the Rudy Project but i have 20/20. just need readers for that closeup stuff. i guess there is hope. did they have a brand name?
