Facebook question

I get Facebook posts from some of my Military Buddies.
And also NM - Southwest history and photo groups.
Yes, sometimes you do get some strange posts.
There are a lot of people out there not taking their Meds.

hi i am trying to find topic groups and the search bar of key words
is not bring up any forums group to join.
any suggestions thanks

Welcome to the forum.

Just a suggestion: go to the sub-forums here that most appeal to you and hang out. Each sub-forum has its own small group sense of belonging.

On my phone its Settings, scroll to Facebook, make sure notifications is off.

I think while you’re there turn off Banners. It’s a good idea to turn Banners off on anything. That way it doesn’t pop up Angie likes you in dating while you’re sitting there with your favorite side piece with the phone laying on the table.

Some of my local businesses / restaurants don't have web sites, only farcebook. So, I joined just to be able to view them. I have no friends on farcebook (I edited the name so I don't get points). If you are friendless, maybe you won't get bothered.

O.K....one of my favorite interwebs typos....

I connect on Facebook with a lot of folks that I otherwise probably wouldn’t.
Recently a Widow Lady who was married to a Cousin posted this pic of Bill Dance.

My Granddaughter signed me up for face book to connect with all my old school friends. Had several friend requests from high school and several requests for DNA sample's I no longer use face book.

The trick is to closely restrict who your "Friends" are. I only will accept requests from people I know well in person. I have some "friends" that are flagged not to follow as I don't want to see their political opinions.

I have 24 friends, and that includes a cousin who died 10 years ago. I just can't bring myself to "unfriend" her. And a friends dog, who died about the same time. She was good girl and again, I can't let go.

Other than that, it's groups such as a Smith & Wesson lovers group, a group with people I worked with for 30+ years, and innocuous things like that.
