I got my RCBS 460 dies today amd am patiently waiting on my Rock Chucker press. I'll get a tumbler and all my components next, so in a couple of weeks, I'll officially be reloading again. This time 45's, 454's and 460's instead of 12ga shotgun.

I can't find a Lee factory crimp die for the 460. Is one made?

Thanks

Maybe this will help. Go to Lee's web site and click on Products, then Crimp Dies and go to the bottom of the pistol dies and click on Customer Services. It says they can make dies up to 480 Ruger. I hope this will help.

I use the 3 die set from Lee to reload my 460. I also have Hornady for 454 reloading. The standard Lee seat and crimp die does an acceptable job.

Don't be too eager to shoot 45LC and 454 through your 460. While they work fine - they sometimes cause subsequent 460 cases to be hard to eject - due to the shorter cases "dirtying" up the chamber walls. Just keep the chambers well cleaned and you should be OK.

That's an old ad listing the 480 Ruger that they never have changed on their web site. They make them for just about any caliber. They make the FCD for the 500 Mag also. They don't make the FCD for the .50AE though. You'll need to send them a mock up cartridge with the bullet already crimped with the regular die and they'll make a FCD from it. It'll cost you a total of $34 bucks.

When I bought my dies the 460 S&W was a special order item. The 45 Colt or the 454 Casull will work just fine. Im using the 45 colt for my 460

Hornady makes a four set die for the 460, they are great.
