Has the factory fixed the numerous fte, ftf issues yet for newly made rifles? Will buy new from Buds if the current production models are fixed. If not, may test my luck and buy used. Already have a 10/22, so I am interested in the m&p over the sr 22.

the 15-22 has very few problems. i purchased one a few weeks ago and have had plenty of fun with a handful of ftf but with cheap ammo. once i used cci mini mags, no problems what so ever. it is a very small percentage that actually has problems and if you are one of those unfortunate few you can send it back to SW and they will fix it at no charge to you.
i would say it is a very reliable gun but if you do go used you can send it to sw and they will upgrade to current specs to ensure that your gun is working perfectly like it should.

Thanks....

Thanks for the quick response. There are many places near me that sell cci mini mags so that wont be a problem to keep them on hand. I am eyeing the MOE version and think for the money its a better deal than the sr 22. Lighter, comes with irons, comes with rails installed....so on and so forth

I too purchased the moe version from buds last week. They shipped quick and the price was great.

I added a few items to it. First time out to the range saturday. I had zero failures of any kind through 455 rounds (cci & fed bulk) . Flawless no problems. DUU serial prefix.

just call first and ask what the serial number prefixes are, you should be safe staying away from DT*. jury is still out on some DU-early letter models, but DUR for example has all the upgrades. Buying used certainly wouldn't be worthwhile as you're even more likely to get an old model somebody didn't want to deal with anymore.

So I should be ok with a # DUU?

My DUU is flawless with any CCI load or Federal Lightning from WM. Very infrequent fail to eject properly with the Federal bulk packs, maybe 1 per box. So few I don't consider it an issue at all for my plinking.

I have a DUP xxx and have not had any failure to feed or eject at all with over a 1000 rounds through it. I have used both Remington and Federal, with a couple of failure to fire (mostly Remington) but other than that, not one problem. I do pay attention to loading the mags though, making sure each round is sticking up an the bullet end.

I have DTZ and DUM and have not had a single failure of anykind with either. I am using Blazer bulk box. Probably about 500 rounds each. Both guns are perfect!!

I have a DUA, and it came with the blue springs already installed. No problems yet - 1500 rounds down the pipe.
