I discovered that my 442 has excessive endshake, so it is going back to the factory for repair. I dont know if this somehow just developed (how I dont know, the gun is relatively new), or if it was there the whole time and I somehow didn't notice it.

I asked the guy on the phone about the repair, and he said that they will probably just stretch the yoke a bit. Does anyone know if this can be a repair that is expected to be a "permanent" fix that will last the rest of the gun's lifetime? I am glad they are fixing it but I am wondering what I can expect for durability.

Whether it will be a lifetime repair depends on how often you shoot the gun and the intensity of the loads. I have stretched the yoke on many revolvers and rarely do I have to fix one again. If I do, I will use the end shake SS washers rather than stretch the yoke again.

Got it, thanks. I guess it makes sense in that if you shoot any revolver long enough, parts are going to wear and need replacement and so on no matter what.
