anyone have a solution? is it safe to do a trigger job on this gun since it's not like it's big brother? Has anyone done anything to there's?

Or is there an aftermarket trigger assembly you can purchase? I google'd a bit and didn't find any for sale....but I didn't try super hard.

Thanks in advance?:D

I believ'e the trigger's on the 15-22's ar'e the 'same a's on a 'standard AR-15, and can be 'swapped and replace'd. Check 'some of the othe'r thread's for comment's from othe'r user's about trigger job's and 'such.

Really, even if you don't use the search mode, you only need to go to page 2 of these threads and look at the thread titled "Trigger Pull". There you will find links to YouTube and other threads at top of this page to get the trigger exactly the way you want.

i polished my trigger along the "15 min trigger job" guidelines.. i do not suggest bending the springs.. if you want a lighter pull go with the JP3.5 springs...

CCM did you notice a big difference in smoothness of the trigger pull. That's what I am looking for, I assume it breaks alot crisper now.

*edit*for 10 bucks I ordered it :)....bad part is there back ordered :(

Yes these fire carrier groups(FCG) are the exact same as a standard AR. They are a direct swap.

I have Bill Springfield do all my triggers and the are a clean crisp 4lb, you can have him 3 or 5 lb also.

davet, yes you will. I am very glad i ordered them. The pull is definitely lighter, but the biggest difference is how much 'cleaner' the pull feels. The yellow springs are exactly the same they just look like there is 1 less coil in them to create the softer pull.
Good purchase! I ordered mine about a week or 2 ago and got them promptly. Midway is VERY good about getting orders out for shipping as soon as they are available though. Good luck!

Thanks!

Save money and get the non-skeletonized one--it looks cool, but buy more ammo instead with the savings. I have both (Skeleton on my custom-built AR-15 and the standard on my 15-22).

Both are nice, but on the 15-22 you will need the $10 JP anti-walk pins to hold it in because you should avoid cranking down the Timney set screws inside the receiver so they do not thread into the plastic receiver and make it useless--thread until snug and use the JP anti-walk pins to anchor the pins.

I have a technique for installing these too. The end screws of the pins have blue loc-tite on them, so heat them with a lighter and thread the screws almost all the way into the pins holding each pin with pliers before inserting it into the receiver. Then insert the pins into the trigger/receiver wall and do the same for the other pin. Then heat the loc-tite on the screws (one at a time) for the other side and thread them into the pins so they are snug but do not over tighten. The screws are allen head and very small, so they can strip easily and the loc-tite applied by JP is enough to help you do that.

I must be the only one who loves the trigger as is haha. This was my first firearm ever, though, so not much to compare with. I've shot nice Skeet shotguns with light triggers (so light I accidently shot at the high house!) but I still love the standard M&P one.

Once you have a proper clean, crisp trigger job done on your rifle you will change your mind about it.

Whoa!!! Different FCG in PC

If I'm not mistaken, Dave has the PC version as do I. It has an entirely different FCG from the non-PC versions. I didn't like the excessive (7lbs+ for a "match" trigger, really???)pull although the trigger was smoother than the OEMs on my other 2 15-22s(which I modded the triggers with much improvement). I didn't see a specific spring set for the 2 stage, so my LGD had a RRA 2-stage "national match" FCG for $110 and I bought it. Guess what?? The OEM FCG in the PC looks identical to the RRA. I put it in anyway and it is lighter(4.75lbs) with no mods what so ever. It did state on the instructions to NOT put a take-up screw on it so I didn't.
I e-mailed S&W about it with no reply.
Dave, if I mis-understood about what you have, never mind....;) Okay I did. Dave, follow the instructions with the spring kit, and use some moly grease on the sear area, per J-P's instructions. You can end up with a pretty good trigger. I too use the allen screw take-up tip and the guns have worked flawlessly.

Ya I am getting along fine with my stock trigger also. It works for me shooting gophers anyway. If I want a tack driver .22LR I would just use my Rem. 541S bolt action rifle with a hair trigger.

I took the trigger control group out and cleaned it good :) No polishing, though. I'm not gunna pay any money on the trigger, very satisfied.

I did the trigger creep fix from the video....hell that helped alot, now when the new springs come in and the pull is around 4 lbs it should be perfect :) very happy
