This just reported: 600 doctors signed a letter sent to the President, warning of a mass casualty event. Here is a paragraph from the letter:

"The millions of casualties of a continued shutdown will be hiding in plain sight, but they will be called alcoholism, homelessness, suicide, heart attack, stroke, or kidney failure. In youths it will be called financial instability, unemployment, despair, drug addiction, unplanned pregnancies, poverty, and abuse."

Its from the letter, next to last paragraph. Safe to assume that wiki sourced it from the letter itself.

It's just now being reported that the CDC has reversed its guidance on disinfecting surfaces...turns out they were wrong, its not necessary. I wont post the source since it will generate ridicule, just look it up on your preferred source for news.

So does this mean I can go back to being a slob?

This is the current guidance from the WHO:

If you are healthy, you only need to wear a mask if you are taking care of a person with COVID-19

Which doesn't make sense if the purpose of the mask is so that the wearer does not pass on their germs to others, which in this case would be someone who is already infected.

Besides, the WHO has less credibility than google or wikipedia, although I do agree wearing a mask serves to give people a false sense of security more than any real value.
