I can't seem to find the FAQ on N frame spring replacement. The arthritis in my right hand is getting to the point that I would like to lighten things up a bit. Wolf springs seem to be the way to go.

If you want to save money, you can bend the stock spring. Just do a "mandrel" bend with three screwdriver handles so you don't bend a kink in it. Ad a little curve, then measure the DA pull. You can also buy reduced power rebound slide springs or clip a stock one. If you reduce the mainspring strength by about 20% and clip about 3 or 4 coils off a stock rebound slide spring you will get pretty close to a wolff spring weight.

Call smith up and ask for a blue rebound spring.
I put the blue spring on all my action jobs for the last 20 years
