Father's Day Breakfast. What did you have?

Sorry no pictures.
We celebrated both Father's Day and my youngest granddaughter today.
She turned 18 a few days ago and is headed off to basic training for the US Army reserve tomorrow.
Father's Day took a back seat to my granddaughter. I had little interest in anything but seeing her off as proudly as we could.
Once a very troubled young lady but a stint in a military style reform institution flipped a switch within two weeks and we have a completely different young lady with goals and ambitions. She wants to continue with the military life style and is considering going full time Army if the guard agrees with her.
So today for breakfast it was Ribeye steak, fried eggs and fried potatoes. Healthy? Not really. Delicious? Definitely.
Congrats to my granddaughter.

Daughter asked me for Fathers Day cook out. 2 hour drive to her house. Over slept got going about 11:30, stopped at Mickey D's got 2 Mick Krispy chicken sandwiches and diet coke.

A nice stack of Pancakes, some thick cut Bacon, Fresh Fruit and some fresh perked coffee.

Dinner was a different story. Michter's small batch Bourbon, Jumbo Shrimp appetizer, veggies and dip, cheese and crackers. The main course was Ribeye thick cut Prime steaks, Potatoes, Corn on the cob, all the salads and sides to go with it.

A potpourri of deserts followed by a good Cigar and a little more Michter's Small Batch.

A pretty good day, Id say!

Scrambled eggs splattered with Chipotle hot sauce, Isernio's hot Italian sausage, 9-grain toast w/ butter, a glass of milk and my weakness: Home roasted coffee.

I had 3 cups of coffee, a couple pills, and yard work & other gotta-dos before my rotator cuff operation tomorrow. All that good food up there and today was the 1st day since the early '80s that my scale maxed out at 200#! I'm really happy about dropping around 25# in the past few months. I did grill a couple dead chicken breasts and 2 rib-eyes for dinner, and a few sides of Bush Light during the day.

Greek yogurt, blackberries and a touch of maple syrup. Add a couple or oatmeal raisin cookies (gotta have that fiber) with a cup of espresso.

Here was my Father's Day Breakfast. Eastern Mediterranean Omelet with feta, tomato, spinach, and green onion; a side of Lamb Kofta. All made at home. Mmmm Mmmm.

I'm trying to loose some weight and had a Spanish Omelet with heated Salsa and no meat.
Then went outside before the heat and did a little yard work for monday's gargage pick up at 8am , for the re-cyle & garbage containers.

Bourbon French Toast, Bacon, Biscuit w/Sausage Gravy, and, of course,

... a Moonshine Mimosa.

My version of an Egg McMuffin.

Scrambled egg, Boar's Head Black Forest ham. Cabot American cheese on a Stop & Shop English muffin. With some Tim Horton's coffee.

Lunch was seafood salad with Triscuits.

Supper was USDA Prime boneless strip steaks with Mrs. QD67's excellent macaroni salad.

A a few Miller Lites while I was grilling.

It was a good day.

My wife made me
2 poached eggs w/few shakes Cholula Habanero
thick sliced bacon
breakfast potatoes (leftover baked potato chopped and browned w/onion)
Homemade biscuits w/ fig preserves
Black coffee w/ a shot of espresso

Father's Day was second day on the road to El Paso to visit son.Breakfast was McDonald's egg McMuffin. But when I arrived at sons he cooked steaks stuffed mushrooms and fresh green beans. Now this morning since neither my son or daughter in law are breakfast eaters I went to local market where they make homade burritos any way you want.Beans egg bacon cheese and salsa verde great way to start visit with son.

Yesterday I had what I always start my day with, a carafe of Donut Shop Blend coffee and three slices of buttered wheat toast.

Then the earth shifted off its axis. We were alone. The youngins left to spend the night at friends' houses. We were unprepared for this rare stroke of luck. We hosed off and headed out to one of Ruthie's favorite restaurants.

We had a lovely dinner and then stopped at UDF and got some Caramel Cone Crunch ice cream for afters.

We took advantage of the lack of prying eyes and re-enacted Beauty and the Beast.

Best fathers day evah!

Breakfast, Father's Day.

One scrambled egg, covered with a cup of Bob Evans sausage gravy, liberally sprinkled with Private Selection, JALAPENO TOMATILLO CULLINARY Hot Sauce, one slice of nine-grain toast, half the slice buttered with real butter, and half of the slice covered with black raspberry jam, and my meds., Washed down with water.

Every other day, I alternate, to a 'Bull's Eye', made with the aforementioned egg, nine-grain bread, sausage gravy, and hot sauce.

My beloved wife lovingly performs this culinary service for me daily, but She has a completely different diet.

My choices of food, has dwindled, as I became a Curmudgeon, and our food is being supplied by our son.

Our daughter and grandson were home and she made me a 4 egg
all vegetable omelet including onion, bell pepper, hot peppers, broccoli,
with cheddar cheese, topped with home made salsa. Plus a glass of
that weak 2% milk and about 5 cups of coffee.

Hope that your surgery and recovery goes well.
