From the Quiet Man with John Wayne. Not exact but pretty close.....

May your lives be long,
your children many,
and may you live in peace and happiness the rest of your days.....

I've been told this was a French cavalry toast.

Here's to the ladies, the horses, and the men who ride them.

Champagne for my real friends,
and real pain for my sham friends!

Along the line of where this seems to be going, I have seen this toast written in several books about WW II.....
"Heres to our wives and here is to our lovers, may they never meet!"

Mine typical is the old favorite....
"Look out teeth, look out gums, look out stomach, here it comes!"

A good toast for couples - "Here's to a thousand miles of happiness between [insert name] and [insert name]...delivered in seven inch installments!"

Also, "May all your ups and downs be between the sheets."

And a nice one...

"May the best day of your past be the worst day of your future"

This is not a toast but I had an attention loving cousin who was asked to say grace before eating at the family reunion pray this one time:

"Father, Son...Holy Ghost. First one gets there gets the most".

Kind of a pre toast dedicated to Bill Mauldin

"Dont startle him Joe...it's almost full!!"

One I use frequently with a bunch old L.E. buddies :

"......to absent companions.."

Not funny, but meaningful...
