I also have a ASP I picked up at a local Pawn Shop for 275.00 the shop owner told me he thought someone cut up Smith & Wesson 39-2. I'll post pictures of it later.
I recall reading about ASP conversions of S&W pistols back in the 80's. Always thought they would have looked good in the hands of a certain Commander James Bond. Not as classic as the PPK but practical for a tux.
As for the 1076, I like it.
When John Gardiner started to write James Bond books with permission, James DID carry an ASP, with Glaser Safety Slugs.
The 10xx/45xx family of firearms had three different grips that I can recall:Can anyone tell me what the stocks on the OP's 1076 are called and maybe the factory part number. I'd like to try to run down one of those for my 1076.
Would it be possible to take a 1076 or a 1026 and use a regular straight back 4506 grip -- and carefully trim out a working area for the Sig-style decock lever?
I find the palm-swell grip to be less than attractive, I've also never cared for the feel of a palm-swell.
