I'm used to seeing American Eagle in JSP, all revolver calibers, but I've never seen JHP. I like Federal's 'premium' load in this caliber, and I'm wondering if anyone has experience with the econo-equivalent. The appeal was boxes of 50 for $34 or so.

Thanks for any info that may be forthcoming.

I used this as my first ever .44 Magnum load. Not too bad, pretty warm out of my 4" 629. Pretty clean burning, and what a .44 should be I'm my opinion.

I like American Eagle ammo. IMO it's better than Remington UMC and Winchester White Box ammo any day. Federal has come a very long way in the past 10 to 20 years...

I agree -- Federal makes great stuff from top of the line on down. Rem UMC hardball has always been accurate in my 1911s, but so has Federal. As a rule I don't see much Winchester because WalMart is too far away. ; )
