One of Paul C last requests was I share a little of his history with his friends at the forum, so here goes.

Paul was born in May 1944, a Taurus you are well known for your charming and practical nature. Although you prefer to keep a small group of friends, many people have always found you pleasant and witty. These traits well define the Paul I knew.

After graduation from St John's university Paul started his career with the Treasury Department, only to be interrupted by his required military service by 1968 Paul was a Military Police officer serving in Viet Nam and was in country during the Tet offensive. After his tour in Viet Nam, Paul finished his active duty service at Walter Reed Medical Center.

Paul returned to the Treasury Department and developed a firearms training and safety course for his fellow agents which he was in charge of for most of his career. The following is part of an Email message Paul received from a fellow agent. "I'm thinking of you and fondly remembering many fun days on the range with you. You truly loved your work and your job, and it showed. Your passion for firearms and safety had a huge impact on every agent that was lucky enough to shoot on your range. Thank you for sharing your knowledge."

Paul and his charming wife Denise were married in 1973, had twin boys Joseph and Paul, followed by Craig. Both Paul and Denise loved and were proud of their sons but truly adored their five grandchildren.

Paul was an accomplished guitarist, woodworker, and model builder who assembled an impressive assortment of model train cars.

On a personal note, I had been a guest in Paul and Denise's home on several occasions and always enjoyed myself. Denise was/is a gracious hostess who always made me feel welcome:D.

That is a well written, nice synopsis of the life of a good man who left a large footprint here.

Thank you.

That's quite an epitaph, Rusty; we should all strive to be like Paul. What I find most impressive about this gentleman (and was he ever a gentleman!) is the breadth of interests in his recent posts as he was fighting to stay alive. Rifles, Glocks, guitars... There is no limit to his interests and his ability to convey worthwhile information. And, at the same time, no indication until the last that he was terribly ill. And I personally appreciated his willingness to swap 'cop talk' in PMs to a guy living alone. Meant a lot to me.

I've heard the ancient Egyptians believed a person never really died if their name were to be spoken. So, here we go, PAUL.
