Shootings like this are almost common enough nowadays to almost not be classified as news. Usually stories start off with "another shooting today-- last night--tonight-- in pick a city". Don't ever count on something not happening.

Yep. In some of the "bad" parts of my town, the news is if there wasn't a shooting last night." Not a high murder rate (I know,one is too many), but lots of GSW's.
 
This is really sort of just another news item on just another news day. We had basically the same thing happen here yesterday...only difference was only one guy had a gun. It was barely a blip on the news radar.

Incidents like this are becoming more common, and will become even more common as time goes by. He got a gun, I got a gun, you got a gun, everybody got guns.

Gettin' to be the only difference between now and the Old West is cars have taken the place of horses.

I lived in Houston back in the early 80s when the 610 loop was the outer ring road and the traffic SUCKED then. I can only imagine that with the current population and traffic that road rage is a common everyday event.....

I don't know ANY of the facts of this incident...

Most places I have lived if you LTC/CCW/CC and you START or ESCALATE a fight you cannot claim Self-Defense.

It SOUNDS like they were already involved in road rage before they collided. Thus, they barreled out of their cars spoiling for a fight. That's my personal guess.
 
The best way to handle a firefight is to get away as soon as possible. Only good shoot is one you avoided.
 
I didn't know Sun Tzu had a CCW permit. I've read two different English translations, two time each and never caught that!

Half the News

This is the problem with news these days. No details as to why these two idiots decided to shoot at each other except speculation. The cameraman got into the act lecturing the audience to not shoot, but call the cops. Good advice, but is this news? What would be news is whether either of these guys has a CHL. I'm betting that neither does. If the news hounds knew this they didn't say. This incident does feed the narrative that we are a violent society because of concealed and open carry laws.
