FexEx severs ties with NRA

What does it mean if FEDEX severs its relationship with the NRA? Shoot, I didn’t even know they were dating...

They gonna refuse to ship guns? Is that what it means?

Ah, got it. No more discounts for NRA members: FedEx cuts ties with NRA | TheHill

My first thought: Now they tell me. I never knew they had discounts.

But, come to think of it, I always ship through an FFL anyway, and they use the PO. If moving my own I take with me on the plane in checked luggage.

Sounds like a meaningless political statement to me! My family has UPS drivers in it and my one friend that works for FedEx, retires in 2 weeks, maybe that will help their bottom line, because I won't be!

Screw Fed Ex. I’ll use something else.

If, as this article finally mentions in a sentence hidden toward the end, the NRA was indeed only one of a hundred other entities that lost their discount program with Fedex due to insufficient business volume, this whole story is a nothingburger.

The NRA being one of those is just picked out by anti-gun media because they want to celebrate and by pro-gun blogs because they want to get people worked up.

Actual substance or importance: Pretty much non-existent.

I don't like Fed Ex. A couple of years ago, they threw a coat from L.L. Bean onto my balcony. I seldom look out that window. Bean's replaced the coat before I found it. No note left on the door of the original delivery.

And their people tend to ring the bell (maybe!) and run, leaving packages at the door.

Thankfully, they just delivered my TAG-Heuer watch, fresh from repair. I had to send it to New York for certified service and a new battery.

FEDEX

Guess 'NOMBUSINESS' is better than any business. Don't know what the discount was, but did it really make any difference?? 10% discounts pay the sales taxes is the way I look at it. Who really cares. I agree with the above, the statement means mostly nothing. ;)

Personally, I never use Fed Ex to ship anything. USPS or UPS for me.
I really wish another company would enter the arena, the competition would be good for us.

UPS is better than FedEx by a country mile anyway.

This b.s. virtue signaling is getting older than old.

Good riddance FedEx.

Meh, I use an FFL to ship guns ( he uses cheapest carrier, usually USPS) and I get ammo from Target Sports who must get good rates from FedEX as most orders are free ship. Somebody lend me a quarter so I can phone someone who GAS. Joe

The last company that tried folded like a cheap lawn chair after only a few years. Remember DHL?

They tried to do US domestic market shipping for about 4 or 5 years and failed miserably at it. Even though they were subsidized by the German Post Office (Deuche Post). They still do international - US to Europe or Europe to the US. But they dropped their US to US shipping service several years ago.

It is a tough market to break into. UPS, FedEx, and USPS pretty much have it wrapped up for now.

this fed ex bashing is silly. ups does not ship ammunition.
usps does not ship ammunition.
fed ex does.

Yes, it’s silly.

UPS does ship ammo, though. I’ve used them several times for that.

Mountain, meet molehill. Or is it the other way around? Either way, it’s totally much ado about nothing. As someone else mentions, the anti-gun dweebs latch onto stuff like this and use it in an attempt to get gun owners’ butts up on their shoulders. What’s worse is the pro-gun press pours gas on the fire by repeating it over and over.

What’s sad is that so many gun owners fall for this click-bait.

Note that FedEx hasn’t said they’ll stop doing business with the NRA. I think one story said the NRA hasn’t commented. Well, why should they?

Instead of all this uproar, what this news should generate is a bunch of big yawns.
