For those of you who frequent the 1961 and earlier Hand Ejector forum, you will remember that I recently bought an old 1917 that's being shipped to me from another CA resident.
Well, I just called my FFL to let him know when the gun is set to arrive and I received a very bad message. Apparenty there was an issue with the previous owner of the shop that hasn't been resolved and the Sherriff's Dept came in yesterday and cleaned out all of his firearms. I called the Sherriff's Dept and they said that anything that happens in his store after they left is clear, so he can still receive my gun next week, if he's there. The agent I spoke with called it a levy against his business, I'm not sure what that means.
I left a message on his voice mail at the shop and I sent him an e-mail. Hopefully, with any luck I will still be able to get this gun into his shop next week and do the paperwork to pick it up in 10 days. If not, then it will be shipped back to the shop in Napa and then I will have to get another local dealer, which there is only one left, and have it shipped again.
