Try these: Custom S&W revolver front and rear sights - Brian Enos's Forums... Maku mozo!
He makes .100 wide front sights in various heights both with and without fiber optic. I used to have SDM's but have changed over to these.

The green SDM's have worked very well on all my competition revolvers & Scott's a nice guy to deal with.

Another vote for the green SDM sight. Have one on my 500 and wouldn't be with out it. After that, the GOld Bead SDM sigh for me. I ordered mine from Brownells.
