Finally, a good morning at Wal-Mart

Went to Wal-Mart this morning at 6:30, walked right up to the counter and bought 3 boxes of 100 Winchester FMJ flat nose, 130 grain. .38 Special for $34.67 /100.
This thrills me because I just bought a S&W 686P 3" that I
can pickup Wednesday morning!

For some reason some stores get ammo more then other's. I hit three Friday after the usual old peoples visit to the doctors. I scored 2 boxes of 9 at one, a box of 40 at another and the third had a pile of tula .380 which I didn't buy. This was in the morning about 11-12 o'clock. The one Wally World must have just put it out because they had plenty setting there but I was by my self so only one box but they let me get two I didn't know how to answer when she said one box or two. Now the one 5 miles from me hasn't gotten any in a while when they do it goes on the shelf about 5:30, 6:00.

Today they had holy grail of ammo Fed 223 100 round value packs also 22lr Fed Auto match and 225 pack of Rem Golden bullets. Was in back of line ended up with 3 boxes of Rem Golden bullets which my guns like better then Fed Automatch anyway. Went to another Walmart couple miles away to see what they had they had two boxes of Fed 223 value packs left and a box of the Rem UMC 9mm 250 value pack score!

A friend got a 325 count box of .22s at a Gamble's Hardware today.

It was one box per customer but now he has a bit more ammo for his
.22 pistol.

I go to my local LGS and he has a bunch of every type of ammo for me. We are both wholesalers so,we deal with each other all the time.

i usually buy at my lgs, but they have a one box/day visit...i try to buy more than i shoot so if i see some at wallyworld, i get some...today was the best in awhile...i am averaging one good wally world day a month...

i picked up a 100rd box of wichester 40s&w 165 gr for 38.?? after tax...they had about 8 more boxes of that. they also had 6 boxes of 50 round, 165 gr and 5 boxes of 50 rd, 185 gr.

i don't have a 9mm, but my buddy does. i shot him a text since he hasn't been able to get anything for a few months. he was nearby so he stopped. they had 11 boxes, he took 3(the limit) and they were down to 4 boxes within 10 minutes...

My one big trip to Wal-Mart early I found no salesperson in Sporting Goods. Searching the store I finally found a employee. Then I found out that Sporting Goods doesn't open until 8:00am.

The Walmart Ammo Lookup site showed my local Walmart had Federal 9MM in stock, stopped by on Friday afternoon after work, around 4:30. It was there. Took a few minutes to locate someone to open the case but I got my 3 boxes and left. $13.99 per box.
Not bad for a 10 minute trip.

My local Wally World still has nothing in handgun ammo. Will be glad to see something other than shotgun ammo.

I had a good evening at "Wallyworld" last night and was able to purchase 3 250 round boxes of 9mm UMC for 65 bucks each plus tax. I felt like Homer Simpson in a doughnut shop!
