Finally found a K-22!

Sweet K-22 and I love the grips those are some of the nicer factory grips that I have seen. Thanks for posting the pictures.

On the right side of the barrel is the standard ".22 LONG RIFLE CTG". At the very beginning and at the end is some type of a cross symbol. Is there any significance to this or is it simply part of the caliber designation?

I don't think anybody commented on the mystery crosses. I always wondered about them also. Have a 1956 model with them. Was this something that was on every K-22 ?

I have a K 22 #38020 and it has the X above the number in the crane. I've not ever heard a plausable explanation about the X, but then again, I've never lost much sleep over it either. That said, I'd like to know, just so I could say I do. I bought this gun off a small venders table, 25, ...probably 30 years ago (seeings as how I'll be 60 next week) at the Portland Oregon Expo gun show. Green money, no paper, sunday type of a deal. Paid $400.00 back then, with a box, best money I ever spent. I've shot that gun more than all of the others put together, over the years. Always go back and shoot it when I'm having problems with something else, make sure it's not me, best practice gun I've ever owned. I've faired pretty well in NRA matches with it, as they say, " even a blind hog can find an acorn, once in a while". I firmly beleave, what ever you paid, within reason, is a deal. Shoot it, and enjoy it.

Thank you for all the good comments... I find that patience is generally rewarded when it comes to firearms and gun shows.

Another question...

Any recommendations for a crossdraw holster?
