Finally found that 940. Newark police marked.

Another pawn and gun shop find. I've either got to stop going
into these places ,or go more.

It's a model 940, made in 1993, it's filthy ,but mechanically excellent.

Newark police marked. I wonder how it made it down here to
South Florida? Snowbirds?

I'll have it in 2 or 3 weeks.

Might be from Delaware as well. Their "Newark" is spelled the same but pronounced:New-ark.

psrobably is Newark,NJ as the "patch" resembles theirs,however there are 14 towns in the US named "Newark".

Nice find. I got one about a year ago and find myself carrying it more off-duty and for back-up on-duty than most of my others. Throw a couple of moonclip loaded down with your favorite HP 9mm an you've got a sweet little set-up. If you carry it concealed, two loaded moonclips fit nicely inside of a small prescription bottle for pocket carry.

My 940 had a few marks on it when I recieved it & rubbed it with some mothers & white scotch brite & it cleaned up better than new..

I've been good, Allen. How about you? You got a good price on that little jewel. In the PRK, mine cost me substantially more. Also got my hands on a 3913TSW at a very good price, and a 4516 no dash. I had one of the first 4516's that came out way back in the good old days. Both of these shoot quite well also.

I wonder if that gun was a retirement or commemorative gun? PDs usually didn't mark their guns so nicely; just initials and sometimes a property number.

nice looking j frame. i carry my model 60 more and more these days as a bug. I've seen this and several others with nice badges or patches on the side plate.

Does anyone have any suggestions if I wanted to have my departments badge put on a revolver?
