Hi,
Just joined the Forum recently so thought I'd say 'hello'.
Been getting the Forum's newsletter for some time and that's where I saw the CS9. What a beautiful design! Well, I finally was able to find one so I thought I'd post what I found.
Thanks,

Year of manufacture

Just to provide a point of reference for the CS9 I acquired, I called the S&W number, 800-331-0852 and finally got to customer service and found out my CS9, with serial number EKY04** was made in Nov 1998.

Does look to be in great condition. Cannot see any wear on the grips. Often these guns do not have a lot of use and will be reliable for many years to come. Thanks for showing.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the CS9! :)

Yours appears to be like new. Great little pistol. I put TercGen Delrin grips on mine. Thinned out the butt and made it slick. I also installed the flat, rounded baseplate from a 3913TSW on the mag. Now I can pocket carry it in a DeSantis Nemesis holster.

Mine doesnt know it is a tiny gun. Very accurate out to 15 yards. And with 147 grain RA9B I am well armed.

I have a CS45 as well. And although 45 caliber pistols are what I normally carry, during the hot and humid spring, summer........and most of the fall in NC ;) the CS9 is what I carry, on my own time. I actually prefer it to the CS45. Enjoy yours! Regards 18DAI

Thanks 18DAI, Yes, TercGen Delrin grips are in the works! I had a chance to field strip it today and it was dry as a bone! Hardly any break-in marks, so I think it must have been a safe queen. I use Tetra Gun grease on all my semi-autos with maybe a drop or two of oil on the springs. Looking things over-that polymer tipped recoil guide rod caught my attention! Maybe gonna have to see about getting a backup for that. I'll check with Wolf's and see if they have a spring kit available. Don't think I have a real need for the kit though cause i don't think this things been fired more than a few time at most.

Yep probably hardly ever fired. At least is looks it. Only about 100 rounds through mine and will admit I bought it new in 99. Have seen some minty rifles out there that look like they never saw the woods.

Congrats Jeppo! :)

How does this one shoot for you? I look forward to your shooting impressions and range report. Best regards, 18DAI

Thank you sir. ;)

While it lost the extra magazine somewhere along the road, this D is otherwise completely NIB. Won't even think about shooting it until I've mastered the other two. Give me strength.

Wow! got my TercGen grips today and got them on. These are sweet! Major improvement for concealed carry. Also got the Kahr plain magazine base for both mags. Still have good grip with reduced snag. Thanks TercGen-wonderful job!

bikermike

The TercGen grips really make the CS9 ideal to carry in summertime heat and humidity.

Back in the day, before my friend Big Dog started making Delrin grips for the CS series guns, I purchased a CS9. It was bulky with the factory grip and really didn't do anything, for me, that my 3913 didnt already do. So I sold it to a member here who needed it for his daughter.

Now, I carry my CS9 with TercGen grips practically everyday. It is an indespensable part of my carry gun inventory. Thanks TercGen!! :) Regards 18DAI
