After months of waiting, ( for the price drop), finally bought my 442. Took it to the range today and was extremely happy with the accuracy of this gun. Recoil from 148 gr. WC to Plus P's was nothing. And when it comes to carry, I hardly even notice it. Very happy with my new Smith.

Congrats on the new 442!!! I have been carrying one sense last July as my EDC. You are right about the weight. I carry all day, every day and forget it is there.

Great choice.....

Here is a pic of mine in a Lobogunleather Enhanced Pancak Holster.

Congratulations. I've carried mine for years. Yours will give you many years of excellent service.

TLG, what grips are on yours?

In that picture I have a set of Altamont's on my 442. I change back an forth between the Altamont grips and a set of Crimson Trace LG105 grips. The Altamont grips are quite comfortable to shot with +P rounds. The C.T. grips are perfect for me now. My eyesight is less than perfect.

To the O.P., I hope you enjoy your new 442. They are a great little EDC gun.

To Photoman44, I don't think you can beat one of Ray's, (Lobogunleather) holsters. I have purchased 3 from him and I am more than pleased!!!

The 442 is a great carry revolver and that finish wears like iron. I carried one every day for several years before trading it in on a M&P 340. It should serve you well.

Regarding the Lobo Gun Leather Enhanced Pancake holster, I've been carrying concealed almost every day for 40+ years now and, in my book, it can't be beat!

Here's my M&P 340 in its Enhanced Pancake.

Thanks guy's. TLG, How do the Crimsons fit your hand? I've got big hands and think I need bigger grips, plus the deterent factor.

For a guy with big hands the style of C.T that I have, (LG105) might not be too good. They are about the size of the grip that comes with the 442. The LG105 is a hard plastic grip. You might want to consider one of the other models that C.T. makes.

Hope you find a grip that suits you. I have what you might call "med. size" hands. Get something that you can use. Remember, with +P ammo the 442 can be a hand full. But I sure wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of it.....

Enjoy your new 442. It is one find firearm for what it is designed to do.;)
