Well, after about 2800 rounds, I had my first FTE on Saturday. The good news was that it was just a ID-10-T error. Not a problem with the rifle

I was shooting off some sandbags, holding the magwell with my support hand. Of course, it was only about 15 Degrees F, so I was wearing my thick gloves. I shot one mag through with no issues, the second mag, it went bang-click. I look down at the ejection port to see what's going on, and notice that my support hand thumb is completely blocking the ejection port (I shoot left handed). I don't normally hold the mag well with the support hand on a normal AR for this very reason.

So now my perfect reliability record with the 15-22 is tarnished with one FTF. Even if it was my own fault. ;)

A buddy of mine was in marine basic training in San Diego. I've never been in the military so I may not get the terminology right but the story goes like this. His instructor calls him front and center and tells him to "run" across the base and find Mr So and So. Ask Mr. So for an I.D. 10 T form and bring it back to me. Recruite Hall runs across said base and finds Mr. So and requests said I.D. 10 T form Mr. So says to recruite Hall, "Hall, did your mama drop you as a baby"? Sir no sir says Hall. Hall take this paper and pen. Right on this paper ID10T and tell me what that spells. Recruite Hall's eyes are suddenly open. Mr. So says enjoy your run back. I love that story.
