Finally have a S&W in .44 mag

Congratulations and welcome to the .44 world. I've got the same one and a 6.5" also. Put some good .44 special ammo in her and you might change your mind about the .357 as your favorite. I carry mine in the cooler weather in a Simply Rugged pancake with Gold Dot 200 jhp .44 special ammo. Great carry and still very accurate for a snubby.

I sold my first model 29, 8 3/8" to my neighbor. Tried to buy it back after making that mistake. Bought another one about a year ago $700. Went to a farm auction Saturday and Voila' a 629. Couldnt help myself. $600.
This 629 has ben shot about 20 times. It is so tight there is absolutely no play in lockup. Crane is the same way. Maybe I'll just store it away.

I am no expert but I think they are called combat grips and they came with the gun. I see alot of the Lew Horton guns with them on.
