Finally. I give you, my GRAIL gun. 27-2 3 1/2".... It's BLUE!!

I don't think so......................

Congrats on your find. You've got yourself a nice one. And, I'm happy to hear that you're actually going to shoot it. That's what they were made to do.

I think that Bob was just kidding about shooting either one.

Sarcasm. Never go a day without it! :D I shoot my 5" 27-2 and the long tube. Someday I'll find a beater 3 1/2" to shoot...;)

Pride of ownership doesn't always include pulling a trigger.
It's like having a BU silver dollar, it's money but you don't spend it! :D

What a beautiful piece! It takes a strong man who has a beautiful car, airplane or gun or girl friend who can resist just "trying it out".

Beautiful gun with all the goodies

I just joined today and the first thread I posted I asked about was the mfg. date of a 27-2 s/n N37620 (also a 3 1/2" barrel) which I have owned for over 30 years. It did not come with any of the original packaging ,etc, etc that your's has. You have the best looking one I've ever seen. Enjoy. :) JT

Patiencs

Beautiful Mod 27 3.5" Congratulations on your patiencs and finding this revolver. I also consider the Mod. 27 3.5" the ultimate revolver.
I had to have patience a little longer than you did. Whin I was 16yr. old an old grumpy range officer that was watching for a chance to throw anyone that broke the smallest range rule, off the range, asked if I had fired a .38 revolver, and since I had not, offered to let me fire his personal revolver, which was a 27 3.5" S&W. what he did not tell me that the last two rounds in the first cyl. that I shot were heavy .357 mag loads. When I didn't flinch
when they went off he became my mentor, and helped me any way he could.
I swore that very day to own a n exact 27 3.5" like his. First poverty kept me from it, then ww2 came along and they were not available, but then in 1970, 23yrs. later I finaly found, and bought my dream revolver. Over the years I'v added a few things, and shot it a lot. acquired three more Mod. 27s, but the 3.5" is still the pick of the litter. Now 43 yrs. later I am 82 yrs. old and, putting it together with a few related things to pass on
to my Son. I built the mahogany case, and my wife made the pouch for it.
Here are some Pictures. Please forgive the quality of them, and the long winded story.

I don't think so! If I got a car, it gets drove, and it gets floored. If I got a gun, it gets shot, and If I got a woman she gets.........loved, or she's gone. No such thing as "too pretty".
