Just picked up this very clean 64-2. It came with a set of Uncle Mikes grips. I had a set of Eagle boot grips I threw on to see how they’d look. The Eagle grips are staying. I think they make the gun!

That is a very nice revolver you have there! I have spent the last 20-30 years lusting after a 66 with 2.5 inch bbl and haven't had any success. Just before my local pawn shop closed, it was my favorite hang out, the owner took in a very nice 64-2 revolver, no box but quite nice. I worked out a trade with him and took ownership. It came with a nice set of Pachmyr grips but I had a set of Hogue wood grips to put on it. Now I have become quite fond of the 64-2 and haven't looked very hard in finding that model 66. Mine is my avatar.
 
RB K-frame snubs are superior in looks, handling, and comfort when compared to a comparable J-frame IMO.
