Hello from northern Michigan! I’ve been a member of the forums for a short while now, but haven’t participated in too much discussion yet, as I’m mostly here to read and learn.
My S&W passion really started when my dad bought me a PD trade-in 4” heavy 10-8 for an academy graduation present a few years ago. Since then, I’ve added a 4” 66 (no dash), a 3” square butt 36-3, a 442-1 (for backup and off-duty), and a 459 (my only S&W semi-auto) to my collection. What works of art!
I’m from the younger generation of shooters (I’m 26), so most of my handgun experience centers around semi-autos…Glocks and Beretta M9s specifically. Every day though, it seems I become more of a revolver guy than anything else…just something about them is captivating. I’ve always appreciated S&W revolvers, but I’d say at this point I’m pretty obsessed.
I’m so glad that this forum exists…so much information and decades of knowledge here that I hope to learn from.
