After looking at a lot of choices, I ordered my first gun today. Got the Model 67 and want to thank all of you that have helped me with my decision and commented on my different recent threads. The 4" K frame guys finally won me over, especially after shooting one at a range recently.

I'm pretty excited about it and look forward to shooting it for the first time. Ordered online and we have a 10 day wait period here in CA, but the process is started. Thanks again. Bud

Excellent choice!

Bud, where u located in SoCal, Im east of LA , Corona area. Just curious not too may on here from CA. Bob

Near Palm Springs. Our local range recently closed, so I tried a .38 at Dave's range in San Bernadino, not too far from you.

Hi, I just got my 67 no dash 4" barrel too! Had it for almost 2 weeks, and haven't shot it yet. Too much time at work! Too much rain! If mine shoots as well as my 1905 4th change, I will be happy. It looks good though. Bob

I plan to add a new MIM 67 at some point, I always liked the way they look......

A 67 no dash I carried back in the late 70's/early 80's was the most accurate non custom match gun I ever owned. I'd give a bunch to have it back.

Getting closer to having my first gun. The gun I ordered arrived at my FFL today, and I filled out my paperwork and got to handle it. Felt great. Now the ten day waiting period we have here has started. Now I know what others have said many times - it is going to be a long ten days. But, the end is near! Bud

Had a NIB 67 back in the late 80's-early 90's. They are good looking guns and they shoot as well as they look. Wish I still had it. A definite keeper.

How much further south of Denver are you? There isnt a ten day wait list in Colorado. The longest Ive ever had to wait is maybe one hour tops.

Nevermind, I didnt see that you are in CA.

If a person does not have a specific need, like a small gun for pocket carry, or bears in the back yard, then a K frame S&W in 38 Special is a very good choice.

Only one problem....

It may be your first, but I bet it will not be your last.
