Ok, so as the thread title reads, I was finally able to get out to Knob Creek( my local gun range here in Lousville ky.) I have had the G&P Eotech clone on the rifle before, and did a rough sighting on it before.( never fired it, just eyeball'd the reticle with the iron sights) But never did a proper sighting in on it ( trigger finger got itchy for some pop cans and jugs of water setting off at a distance). So today I made the trip to Knob Creek and figured I would do the job right.

Well after a few minutes of wondering WT??.. I figured it out, these particular Eotech clones have the up and down and left and right labeled on the WRONG slots. A.K.A. up/down is actualy left and right lol. After that was sorted this is the results of firing on a day where the wind wasnt bad at all, and the shots were fired at 60 yards. Id say not to bad for Bench shooting off of a NCstar bipod lol. Any way, let me know what you guys think. Of course accuracy could always be better, but Im happy with it. Ammo that was used was a Federal bulk pack.

Heard of others using the same type of Eotech clone having the same problem or the buttons not working at all. Nice shooting though.

Good to see it shoots well. I still need to get to the range and sight mine in since I put the clone on it.

Yes, it does.. It does indeed! If you take the time to properly sight it in, you get great results. I have had a magnifaction scope on it, got the same results as this sight. Its all a personal preference I suppose. But for 60-100 yards the Eotech/clone suits my needs just fine. Plus now given the ability to shoot with BOTH eyes open in a run and gun or fast target acquisition situation is a huge bonus for this type of sight.

Glad to hear it is working well for you. I think clones are the way to go with this rifle. I have the primary arms multi red-dot and just picked up an acog clone to slap on it for a little 4x option.

On my AR-15 I have the Eotech EXPS 2.0 sight on it.

I agree. I have an Actual Eotech on one of my AR's and I got to admit that this lil G&P brand clone is VERYYYYY close to the real thing.(no woder Eotech sued them) As it has NO ghosting AT ALL...like other Eotech clones are reported to have. And most importantly, I fired about 300-400 rounds so far AFTER sighting in the clone sight and it has held a perfect zero so far.

Probally a dumb question, but it's been bugging me for a few days now.

How do you zero in your sight at 50 yards?
I for one can't see the impacts of the small bullets at 50 yards, so how do I zero in my sight to something i can't see?

Find a range where no one else is and do a lot of walking back and forth... Seriously, don't know if there is a better way other than a spotting scope but I use a cheapo magnifier scope behind mine when I sight in for 50 yards.

Binoculars or a scope of some kind will go a long way in rifle shooting.

forgot... DR&U is using Shoot-N-C type targets above which help also. (I call them scratch N sniff targets)

I have no idea where to get those targets, i thought they where really nice.

We have closed ranges and it's difficult to be alone on the range, but i'll see if i can arrange something.

Thanks for the quick replies.

Look at some online shops like Midway USA. You don't have access to an indoor range? Sighting in was really convenient there as I could have the target come to me :)

Almost all the ranges in holland are indoor.
But you have a good point, i was stuck with the thought that I needed the target at the same location to zero it in, but i can get the target back to me and then look where the impact is and adjust accordingly and repeat this till it’s dead-on

Just found a dutch company that sells cards like it, so i'll just order a few when i get my stuff.

LOL, nope. I take a set of binoculars with me in my range bag at all times. I fire a few shots, look at the target, and then make the needed adjustmets accordingly.

this seems to be what im looking for. any idea where i can find one? If i decide not to go with an aimpoint clone i was wanting to go this route. I can get one shipped on ebay for 46 dollars (if i win the auction) but id rather get it from an actual company.

Eotech Clone

It just takes some time to get it sighted in, but once there, mine holds center for the rest of the month.
