I probably should mention that in the pic where I'm holding the gun it is unloaded and cleared. In the other pic the magazine is loaded and you can kinda see a round in the crack but there was no round in the chamber at all. I had just brought it home and in the process of checking it I left the safety on when I thought to take the picture. Thanks all for your safety tips, I want to make sure that I handle this responsibly and safely. I feel like I got a good education on this forum and I appreciate all the help and advice.

Congrats! Pics are nice and clear... I too cringed when I saw your finger in the trigger guard but glad to hear it was cleared before pic....I should be picking up my shied today and I am sure I will love it the same. I have a 9c that I swear by. But can get a little wide/heavy to carry for certain situations. Good luck with yours.
