I used do these projects in the Maine winters when I'm stuck inside but now that I'm in Arizona they are summer projects for the 100+ degree days when I don't want to be outside all day!

I used to really enjoy building models when I was a kid, got away from it as a working man but now that I'm retired I can waste time on frivolous things again. I picked this kit up 2-3 years ago and finally got around to building it. It's a Pocher 1/4 scale kit of just about 1000 pieces, a lot of it is metal. I would guess the finished weight is somewhere in the neighborhood of 15 lbs. Worked on it for about a month a couple hours here and a couple hours there. Pretty pleased with the outcome.

I built DOZENS of models in the 1950's,, all cars,,
I remember bike kits, but never picked one up.

After college,, and going to work to earn enough $$$$ to finance my hobbies,, I turned to metal working,

I love to weld, woodsplitters, trailers, attachments for my tractors,,

Even my shed is welded together,, from surplus and other steel that was not used for its original purpose,,
