Has anyone here used this ammo much? I bought 100 rounds in 9mm FMJ 115gr. It will be the first ammo I shoot through my Shield. Opinions welcome.

Fiocchi 9mm produced a very clean gas system in my P7. I fired a couple of cases of it and had no failures of any kind.

Fiocchi 7.65 Browning ammo has been reliable in three different pistols.

It's one of my preferred target ammos for my 686. The 158 gr FMJ is cheap, hot and consistent. Also, if find Sellier & Bellot I won't pass up that up either.

Fiocchi is an old Italian ammunition company that produces good ammo. They opened a US factory in Ozark Missouri and currently manufacture ammo for sale in the USA there. I've shot it over the years having found it to be reasonably priced and have never had any complaints.

If you find the 9mm "made in Italy" ammo it will be a hotter load made to the CIP standards used in Europe than the US ammo produced to SAAMI standards. Many years ago I ran some Fiocchi Italian 115 gr JHP's over the chrono from my Glock 19 and Beretta 92F. This standard ammo had a velocity of 1,300 fps which is what you see in +P and +P+ ammo manufactured in the US. Fiocchi currently manufactures 115gr and 124gr JHP defense loads using their own bullet under the extreema designation and also use Hornady XTP bullets. They also produce a 92gr self defense load using their proprietary mono block bullet.

Thanks for all the info Steve.

I bought a case of the Extrema 124 grain 9mm ammo a while back. No problems at all. Mine was made in Kentucky. Velocity was lower than claimed, but overall I would buy it again if I needed it.

Ran some Fiocchi .40 SWA 170 GRS FMJTC on my FS M&P, misfed quite a bit so I stopped using it. Now I use mostly Federal through my baby and have had no Ftfs at all. Sorry Fiocchi, can't bet my life on your ammo.

Fiocchi is the ONLY ammo that won't function in my Kahr 380. I have used other calibers of Fiocchi without issue.

Interesting. My Kahr CW380 loves Fiocchi ammo. I buy it whenever I can find it. I use both the 95gr. FMJ for range/target ammo, and the Extrema XTP JHP 90 gr. for defensive/carry ammo. The Extrema is reasonably priced and performs very well. The only problem is that it is hard to find, so I end up using Hornady Critical Defense as my regular defensive/carry ammo.

That being said, I know that Kahr .380's can be very picky when it comes to ammo. I guess I lucked out and got a good one. It eats virtually any ammo I feed it without a hiccup. However, I use only factory ammo in that gun-no reloads.

Regarding Fiocchi ammo in general, I use it in .380, 9mm, and .45 auto, and find it to be very good, reliable ammo at a very reasonable price.

Not a problem in any of my firearms. Sometimes it's the gun, not the ammo.

Fiocchi is good stuff . I prefer it over most any other brand.
I've shot several thousand rounds of Fiocchi in .38 spcl, .357 Magnum
and 9mm without any problems.

I shot 100 rounds of Fiocchi 115gr FMJ with no fail to feed or eject issues. I did have one little issue. I just loaded the 7 and 8 round mags and used them both till the 100 rounds were gone. I got down to the last 2 rounds and loaded them into the 8 round mag and I pulled the trigger and click. I waited about a minute then ejected it and fired the second round. I looked at the primer of the round that went click and the firing pin barley left a mark on it. I think I might of rode the slide is the reason this happened but not sure. I put it back in the mag and it fired fine. I did load up the 8 round mag and 7 round mag again with Tulammo Brass Max 115gr FMJ after the issue and both mags went flawless. Just a update. I like it.

I receive outstanding accuracy and excellent reliability with Italian manufactured 115 grain Fiocchi Shooting Dynamics in my SIG X Fives.

I buy it up by the case whenever it is available.
