Fire Hose Jeans

Several years ago my wife bought me a pair of Fire Hose Cargo Jeans from Duluth Trading.
I like 'em - A lot - and bought a second pair, but they are fairly expensive... On the other hand they're tough as all get out and I can slip a 4" Model 10, 686, or 1911 in a pocket.
The other day I snagged the leg on something and tore a hole near the knee. So I called Duluth Trading and asked if I could get some patch material.
They told me NO. Just send them back and they'll replace them with a new pair.
I mailed them off yesterday - Can't wait!

I'm impressed! I only have a couple items from Duluth bought in the last year, a pair of gloves and a rain jacket. Both seem to be good stuff. I may have to expand my Duluth wardrobe.

That's good to know.
Firehose is so much better than jeans. Wore them last a couple weekends ago when the temps down here dropped in the 40's with a 25 mph. wind from the north. Haven't figured out those little adjustable straps in the back.
Bought a leather bag for the wife, a two small canvas tool bag set for myself, wish I could afford more when the catalog comes to the house. Quality stuff made in America.

Sorry man, but it ain't the pants.

As another poster noted, their stuff runs really big. I ordered medium tee shirts, and would be happy with smalls. I'm 5'7, 150 pounds. There's room in the mediums for me and JcMack, butt and all.

As has been noted so many times in this forum: Pictures, please - or it didn't happen.

I got tired of buying a new cheap wallet every few years, and got a Duluth one. It looks like it will outlast me. Also have the windproof jacket, which is excellent.

I also have DTC's "You bet your Ace flight jacket" which I thought would about the right weight for most of our relatively mild Mississippi winters. A couple of weeks ago we had some sleet and ice, and cold weather, but since then we have had weather in the 70s and even the 80s - way more than "relatively mild" and I have had little chance to use it.

I've bought several things from them. One thing I really like is their "no more butt crack" shirts. At 6' 2", everyone's T and polo shirts are too short. Big & tall shops want minor fortunes, and even then, it's hard to find shirts with pockets. Duluth carries both types, with pockets, with the extra length. I have about a dozen of them. ;)

One product of theirs I didn't care for were the middle weight white socks with the dark red toes. The socks are literally too long for my feet (which at size 13, aren't exactly short). The heels pull up my leg and look as bad as the price tag on Minnie Pearl's hat. Otherwise, everything from there has been great. My son loves their bare naked boxers. TMI, I know, but still it's a ringing endorsement of their products. They have replaced LL Bean for me.

I got one of their firehose shirt jackets for Christmas and love it.

I was surprised to see it was made in China, though. I suppose I shouldn't have been.
