Well after 80 rounds I learned today that I have a pretty accurate *** gun on my hands. Started in at the 25 yard range. then put a few down got her set in, then moved her out to 50, then 100, then 200. I learned two things in this process. The first is - steel rounds are garbage and I will never soil my gun with them again. Dont get me wrong, my gun shot them, but the grouping was frankly, garbage. But I used Winchester 147 gr 7.62x51, PCM, and federal 7.62x51. My favorite by far was the winchester, with federal running second place. It was a busy day at the range - and it is free so I only popped off one photo at the 200 yard mark, and here she is. I have my first shot down below, sighted in, and here is my first grouping. Oh, and the second thing.. My shoulder is barking at me.

I've shot my best groups with Federal Sierra Matchking 168 grain and Hornady TAP Amax 168 grain. On the value market ammo, I've been using CBC 168 grain BTHP Match to offset the over-use of my TAP allowance. It shoots qualifying groups at 300 yards, but does not group as tight as TAP.

Thanks for the ammo advice- i will be on the look out for it. also thanks for the compliment, considering my bipod is cheap I did ok, but I hope to do better in the future. My biggest hope is to go hog hunting and have non issues with her.
