Just got back from the range and the pistol functioned flawlessly. I put 200 rounds through it, 50 rounds of Winchester "white box" 125 gr. FMJs and 150 rounds of Speer LE 125 gr. Gold Dots, all without a single hiccup.

I give this new M&P two thumbs up!

Good to hear X/T!
Nice to hear folks have a positive experience first time out with a new purchase!

I have found the M&P pistols to be absolutely boring... all they do is shoot... and shoot accurately. No FTFs, no malfunctions... just do what they are designed to do...

You will probably like the .357SIG round a lot too... we shot it at a level 2 vest recently... and were delighted with the results...

FWIW

At our range we have a LEO who is also a FFL so we get lots of toys to play with.I was so impressed with the accuracy of the M+P 9 mm,45 and 357 Sig pistols. They are all dead on and not one FTF and FTE in a few thousand rounds fired from each pistol.I noticed since "Dino" made the conversion from revolver to semi- auto that the S+W line of pistols have way less FTF's and FTE's than the Glooks. This is a casual observation and by no means scientific. My CS9 in the 3000 rounds fired there has not been One FTF or FTE.I see at least one shooter do the TAP,Rack,Bang out of necessity and not practice during every two range sessions with their Glock Pistols.Thank You for your years of service helping to make this world a safer place........God Bless.......Mike

I can recall doing an in depth study on the .357 sig round some years back and I was quite impressed not only does it have many pluses over other ammo but the fact that it is a tapperd case ammo "like a rifle cartridge" has a nice advantage when feeding.

Nice gun ... Shoot the heck out of it and enjoy.
