Put about 175 rounds of the (new to me) CCI Tactical ammo through my 15-22. Wow. Great stuff. Feels really nice and smooth when loading it in the magazines (the regular CCI is tight and tends to stove pipe in my mags). Only 1 primer failure (which worked on attempt #2) and I shot about 75 federal next to it to compare spreads at 25 and 50 yards. No pics yet, but the CCI was definitely the winner. If I get time to scan the targets you'll see there's a bigger spread on the federal and more outlyers. I switched up the order in which I shot (federal vs cci-tact) to try and rule out barrel heating up, and varied the upper/lower targets of the 4 on the sheet to eliminate any possible scope variances. All in all, a bit more expensive than the walymart federal, but worth it in my opinion.

I put 150 rounds of CCI AR Tactical and 150 Federal bulk (blue box) through my 15-22 last week without any malfunctions. CCI AR Tactical is nice, but the Federal bulk is better for the $$.

I bought 1500rds of the tactical thinking it would "solve" my FTF issues. Still did it. Ran 150rds of Blazers through it Saturday with no issues. 1st mag of the tactical, bam,FTF. Gonna run it all out and shoot nothing but Blazers from now on.

I saw that tactical stuff at my local guns store, 325 rounds of that stuff cost the same as 525 rds of Blazer, I already shot the whole box of Blazer with ZERO FTE's.

Blazers rock! My 15-22 was one of the first ones. I had an OOB discharge which blew the extractor but had them send me new parts and put them in. Still had problems getting it to run right so sent it back and they updated everything. I have tried many different brands of ammo and finally settled on the Blazers as the best for me with respect to function, accuracy, and cost.

Is this the CCI that is made for AR22's?

im pretty sure CCI's website states that the AR tactical amo was developed using the 15-22 rifle.....petty sure. it stands out oin my mind for some reason. i bought a box, was a bit more expensive, haven't tried them yet though

CCI Tactical

Hey Everyone,

As I have said here before, I must have been blessed with the 15-22 I got. It eats everything and I have tried everything. Even hundreds of Rem GB! No chokes of any kind!.

Anyway, on to CCI. Yes, it is more expensive that other bulk ammo. However, I have found it to be worth it. I do make my general plinking ammo Federal Blue box Bulk. CCI Tac is cleaner and more accurate, at least for me.

Your results my vary, but the TWO things that are consistent.

1. Make sure you load the mags correctly.
2. There is all kinds of advise on all kinds of .22 forums about not having to be picky about weapon cleanliness. I don't care who you are, how many old timers you have talked to, how many matches you've been in, if you are a gunsmith or even if you work for CCI. Federal, S&W, Ruger, etc. This is what I've proven for myself, with all 12 .22 weapons I have owned and shot thousands of rounds through for 30 years.

KEEP THEM CLEAN, KEEP THEM PROPERLY LUBRICATED.

This is not meant to disregard any other opinions, it's only what I have found works.

Regards,

Mark

A dirty weapon is like a poorly maintained car--it WILL fail when you need it most
