Flash light for new S&W 1911 Series Pistol

I will admit that I am new to this tactical game but I have a new S&W 1911 E Series pistol incoming. I want to attach a flashlight to the "rail" What is needed to do this and what is the best light to use? I would like to have a stainless steel one to match the finish of the pistol, but if none is available, so be it. Again, what is the BEST and what is needed to attach it?

Gun Lights

I have a Streamlight TLR-3 on my XDM45 and love it because of its brightness and mainly its very compact. I havn't seen any stainless or silver colored lights yet, but its a good idea.
The TLR-3 I found on sale at Midway USA for about $67 bucks and highly recomment it. I also have the S&W compact light which I am waiting to install it on the new M&P22. There are lots of different lights out there, but most are too big for a pistol. They are simple to attach, just make sure they work with a picatinney rail..
