I may just be an idiot but I cannot for the life of me remove the washer at the end of the barrel after removing the flash suppressor. It is preventing me from sliding the stock gas block off. Anyone else have this issue?
All I did was take an adjustable wrench, tighten to the size of the threads and just pull it off. Took me about 10 seconds for the whole process. Put it back on the same way.
I will tell you it was definitely a head scratcher until i got tired of trying to thread it off, and staring at it a good 5 minutes and finally got fed up with it and tried the method I used above. Man was I relieved!
I also got to the point of removing the washer and it also would not come off. I just pulled my dremel in and cut it off. Replaced with a new 308 washer and vltor flash suppressor. Looks much better than having this monster original on barrel. Have not shot it yet but I cant see why the Vltor 308 FS would not be perfect.
