Flat Primers in factory 22-250

Yes. And for shooting targets and gophers I find that the best load has been in the middle of the workup. Setting the OAL closer to the lands made a big difference in accuracy in my rifle. Really surprised me. Punches holes in golf balls at 150 yds. It's plenty fast even with a starter load.

My rifle has a magazine that allows a OAL of 2.386 "
I have tested a "Hand fed" OAL of 2.40 as the maximum for one of my bullets but..........(single shot)
for 4-5 in the magazine the maximum that my rifle likes is ....
2.37" with 90% of the bullets that I load.

The tips of lead SP's can change a little but I found that the new
Poly-tip designs are very constant in their oal and I am looking
forward to my two new boxes of 55gr bullets that I just received.

Due to the high .255 BC of the .810" long 55gr bullets, they
should work at less than maximum speeds and would like to see
what happens at around 3200 fps....... but 3580 will also work.

I always forget about the magazine limiting the OAL because the mag on the axis is tremendously long. I am usually limited by bullet length in the lighter weights like 40-50 grain. I like to keep .224 inside the case neck. 55 gr. Nosler BT just barely make it to my sweet spot. They do work quite well.
