Flitz

I bought a 2 pound can at the California State Fair about 15 years ago and use it on just about everything that needs a little TLC. Down to the last 1/4" and am getting liquid forming on top after setting for awhile, just mix it up and good to go. I have used it on blued & nickel guns with good results. I recently picked up a nickel Mod 29 that was pretty crusty looking, got the seller down $200 because of the condition. After cleaning it up with Flitz, discovered a problem with cylinder rotation and returned to seller for repairs. He couldn't believe it was the same gun, had to check the S/N! Anyway I love the stuff, but a word of caution, I was polishing some of the wife's silver do-dads with a dremel and forgot to put on my safety glasses, burns like heck if it gets in your eyes.

I use fritz and simi chrome polish.

On my stainless guns and nickel finish guns I save the used rags to do my blued guns. The used polish has less bite and should not hurt the blued guns. I just go lightly when I polish the blued guns. I bring back the orginal looking finish on the stainless and nickel finish. Stainless and nickel can get foggy or milky looking at times. The blued guns with the used polish shine right up again. They have that new looking luster again.

I had some awesome deals when the owner called the dried oil light freckling. The simi chrome polish removed the so called light freckling. The guns are 98.9% to 99.99% condition now. My first gut feeling was to buy them.
