Yes, I understand what the law says. Even so, that won't stop an officer from disarming a person on the grounds of safety. I don't like it, but the courts have upheld it. And, even if a person is in the right, that doesn't stop a cop from doing what he wants. They might win in court, but that only comes later.

The problem with an officer disarming a licensed handgun carrier without RAS is that he personally becomes liable both civilly and criminally. Y'see, it's the law.
