Need some clarification, my fiancee and I are taking a vacation in May :) I have my GWL and its honored in Fla but im not sure whats allowed. How can I carry on person and in transit? Every site ive visited gives vague legalese  and I figured I get the answer from real Floridians. Thanks for your help.

I will direct you to FL statutes 790.01 (definitions), 790.06 (Concealed carry), and 790.25 (3) (l) (lawful use)for specifics.

790.06 will list the places where CC is prohibited, most of which you will not visit. Bar & bar areas, as well as professional sporting events are off limits. Acohol-serving restaurants are not. You can legally consume alcohol while carrying but no one recommends that.

790.25 covers "lawful use."

Concealed is "concealed from ordinary view." Printing is not a concern but blatant printing is likely to arouse someone's suspicions and you know where that leads. A T-shirt and/or loose overshirt works well for me.

You--as a permit holder--can conceal on your person in a private conveyance. Anyone who can legally posses a firearm can conceal in a private conveyance as long as the firearm is "securely encased." 790.01 gives the definition of securely encased, which is quite liberal. Likewise, anyone who can legally posses a firearm can openly display a firearm in a private vehicle as long as it securely encased. This last one I would add caution--many LEOs are not aware of this exception and it could cause grief.

I was not aware that one could display the handgun inside
a vehicle. You can't do that in Texas whether you have a concealed handgun license or not.
