Since this thread originated, my carry preferences have evolved. I rarely carry a one-handed opener these days. Most of my carry choices are traditional slipjoints, inexpensive work knives from anywhere, and SAKs.
On a typical day I may carry a Victorinox alox Farmer, or, more likely an electrician, because it is slimmer, and because it has a sheepsfoot secondary blade. My second knife will be something like an Opinel 6 or an Okapi Biltong. Sometimes I will go with a Mercator Black Cat or something from Aitor or Filmam. My slipjoint is likely to be something from Case or Rough Rider, or one of my two GECs. My top three are a Case medium stockman, Case peanut or a Rough Rider improved muskrat, for its long slim sheepsfoot.
I have accumulated a few dozen knives, and it is fun to mix them up and carry something different every day or each week. In addition, I carry a Leatherman Micra, the Sears 4-way screwdriver, a P38 and the miniature Channellocks. Those last four take up almost no room in the pocket and for the most part obviate the need for a large multi-tool.
When I do carry a one-hander, it is for a specific purpose, usually work related.
