Greetings, all!
Finally made it back to the shop and bailed my "new" gun out. After getting a better look at it, it appears to be unfired, or very close to it. I disassembled the frozen latch, and there was no congealed lube in it whatsoever. In the end, I had to lightly stone the frame in order for the latch to pass over it- which might explain why it was never used much. After a little stoning, it's now usable without tools... but it's still a two-fisted bugger to open and close!
Except for the cylinder and the sides of the barrel where the blue's getting thin, it seems to have most of it's original finish. The bore had just the first traces of light rust begining to form, but after a couple of passes with an oil soaked patch I's say it should shoot OK.
Anyway, if I can figure out how to attach photos I'll post a couple.
