So she bough the Ruger. She loves the Ruger. Now she is out shooting with my group.

Getting more comfortable moving, shooting, working barriers, and making good hits on smaller steel targets to improve accuracy and speed.

Best part is, now she calls me and asks when we are shooting again. Another convert. Very happy.

Tried the nine out still not ready but getting there. But getting more and more confident each time out.

I brought a few toys out. Mostly my carry stuff

The boy working the steel behind barriers running the 9 hole ( well 8 hole they are homemade)

Me working my EDC lately the model 19. Shot with 135gr 357 mag initial in cylinder and then 38 reloads in speedloaders or 357 reloads in strips. Exactly how I carry.
All training ammo is reloads loaded to same velocity and POI as my carry ammo.

It is so accurate and smooth. Nelson Ford did a heck of a job.

Got some home defense shotgun work in as well. Realized I needed to sand down the custom stipple job I did on my grips when my hands started bleeding. But that is why we train with our gear, to figure out what works and what doesn't and make adjustments.

We started around 2pm then finished up around 8pm so everyone including her could get some work with low light shooting and using handheld and or weapon mounted lights.

I put some glow on paint on the model 19 front sight and it was great. Hit it once and then light up target and I could get shots downrange accurately and quickly.

Oh and my new homemade target stands worked great. Secured in back with a rock or a tent stake (for handgun) now I have stands that do double duty for steel and paper and I have a total of 12 with varying sizes of 12X12, 12X7, and 5X8

Works great with the shepherds hooks sold at lowes/homedepot

Just thought I would share, as things are going well. We have a new member to our private training group and our "private range" courtesy of Thomas Jefferson and Teddy Roosevelt. :D
